“My country I think is a bit like Donald Trump.  Because he is a business man before and brings many business to China but I don’t like him. I think he is haughty to people.”

“Every time when sending a card to the US I wonder if thematising your actual president would be a good idea.  I’d like to talk to an American about the lack of understanding that I am feeling for the political discussings in your country.  But it is always the same worry while writing: there must be people who voted for him.  Maybe the addressee is one of these…I take these thoughts as a sign…Trump is disturbing.  Since a year there is a new joke known in my country.  It goes like this:  “What is close to stupidity?  Canada and Mexico!”  Seriously.  I can’t understand how this man could become the potus.  Everyday something odd.  I consider him as a ignorant, dangerous, dumb, racist, manipulative person with a narcissistic personal disorder.  In Germany no politician could get through even one of his daily scandals and stay in his/her position.  And I also think that no other American politician could do so.  It is the glut of sexism, insults, greed and egomania that makes us deaf and paralyzed.  Most people in Germany (including me) don’t understand why there is no radical mass movement against Trump.  I really don’t understand because I know that there are great people in the US with important beliefs and attitude.”

“Trump…good for large business’ maybe…not for large countries? Comes across as a ‘Tosser’. We have a new PM – fingers x’d she will be okay.”

The picture on this card is of a Paua shell, which is a kind of mollusk.
